Troels Grum-Schwensen
Troels Grum-Schwensen graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture—specifically the Department of Furniture and Space—in 1986. Since then, he has worked with architectural space (including extensions, renovations, interior design, and exhibitions) as well as the objects contained within it, in the form of sophisticated furniture design—encompassing both experimental, one-of-a-kind pieces and designs intended for mass production. www.grumdesign.com. Troels Grum-Schwensen has received numerous design awards and other honors, particularly for his innovative furniture designs: www.grumdesign.com/cv/distinctions. Alongside these primary areas of focus, Troels Grum-Schwensen engages in freehand sketching and painting (much of which is created digitally). Troels Grum-Schwensen is a member of the "Kunstnerforeningen af 18. November" (Artists' Association of November 18th). Examples of his freehand sketches—notably featuring birds (sketched, for instance, by the Lakes in Copenhagen)—as well as his digital color graphics, can be viewed (and purchased as prints) here in the Baggårdsprints online gallery.
