Born in 1958 in Frederiksberg. Education: *Realeksamen* (lower secondary school leaving examination) in 1975; EFG (vocational foundation course) in 1976; professional photography training under Per Nagel, completed in 1980. Self-employed photographer since 1980. For the past 20 years, work has primarily focused on companies within the construction and interior design sectors. Has provided photography for several books by Jens Anker Jørgensen—including *Et hus i et landskab* ("A House in a Landscape"), which concerns Esrum Abbey—as well as for an exhibition on the subject at the Abbey. Produced an illustrated art calendar in 1994. Currently works in the fields of photography, drone operations, video production, and art prints. www.lergaard.com
