Birgitte Røddik
For over 20 years, I have worked as a freelance photographer specializing in corporate portraits and product photography, with a number of major companies among my regular clients. I have a lovely photo studio in Østerbro, where two offices are rented out to other photographers. I frequently host exhibitions and talks at the studio. In my personal time, I enjoy exploring the city or the natural world, visualizing images as I go—capturing fresh angles with my camera and letting the light speak for itself. I am often moved by the way the afternoon sun strikes buildings, casting a beautiful, warm glow, or by the patterns created when the light interacts with shadows. I love photographing buildings from unconventional angles to create graphic, striking images. In January, I released a substantial and beautiful photo book featuring portraits of and interviews with Cubans, exploring their lives and dreams. The book highlights the remarkable diversity found within the Cuban population.
